Pedal steel guitarist Gordon Titcomb will be performing with folksinger Arlo Guthrie and others at Chicago Symphony Hall on Saturday. June 11. The show is called United Sounds of America: Route 66. It starts at 8 PM.
Gordon Titcomb is a consummate studio and concert musician who has backed many of America's top folk and country artists on pedal steel, banjo, mandolin and dobro. Here's a clip of Arlo Guthrie (guitar), Abe Guthrie (keyboard) and Gordon Titcomb (pedal steel) playing a beautiful Hawaiian instrumental, Haleiwa Farewell.
