There's An App For That

I suppose it had to happen sooner or later. There's an iPhone/iPad app that simulates pedal steel. See the demo:



I showed it to Mrs. Lee and the first thing she said was,
"Does it do bar slants?"
"I don't think so."
"What good is it then?"

Gotta love that woman! In all seriousness, I believe that this educational toy can help people understand how the instrument works and what it's capable of. It emulates 10-string E9th and C6th copedents, and also does 6-string dobro in 4 different tunings. The developer (Mad Calf Apps) has obviously put a lot of work into it. It's only $1.99.
